At Bon Apetit Toastmasters Club we believe we have found the perfect menu for a great night out -- good food, good company and, most importantly, an opportunity to improve our communication and leadership skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

Bon Apetit Toastmasters meet on the second Wednesday of every month at a restaurant on Sydney's North Shore or Northern Beaches at 7pm for 7.30pm until approximately 10pm.

We usually look for BYO venues with a two course meal for under $35.

Meeting Dates for 2006

February 8, March 8, April 12, May 10, June 14

In addition to traditional Toastmasters meeting roles, we also have:
  • A Masked wine tasting activity
  • Food reviews
  • Book or movie reviews

and we meet in a different restaurant each month.

At each meeting, Toastmasters are given assignments that may include anything from presenting a Toast to chairing the meeting.  The agenda includes unique, varied assignments – we evaluate the meal; test our wine knowledge at an Options session; answer impromptu questions at Table Topics; talk about a book or movie or present a prepared speech.  All the assignments are evaluated so we all learn by our experiences.

There is a one-off joining fee (approximately $42) and an annual subscription of $8 a month, paid half yearly.  On joining as a new member you will receive a set of manuals which will assist you to reach your goals through the Toastmasters program.

Ours is just one of over 10,000 clubs worldwide so we know the program works!  Members receive a monthly  magazine, “The Toastmaster”, which provides value insights on communication and leadership from Toastmasters worldwide.

Many of our members are Dual members. They are financial members of another Toastmasters club, so they only pay the monthly membership fee and the meal cost.
